This work was made for the re-opening of Het Wilde Weten, an artists’ run space in Rotterdam where I stayed for 5 month as an artist in residence.

I built a tunnel through my living space. The living space had two doors facing each other from two sides. I took the doors out and stretched a semi-transparent fabric through the doors. You could go through the tunnel, look inside my room, but you couldn’t go into the room.

This work deals with the feeling of being on the move all the time, being transit traveler, taking short cuts through everything that happens to you.
